‘Pink!’ is a photography mixed media series of self-portraits.

In this project, I delve into one of my social masks to see who exists underneath and in the process ask the question - 'Why do we project to the world an image of ourselves that isn't real?’

In a world dominated by social media where façade personalities are prolific, I noticed that I too was wearing one that became more and more difficult to wash off, particularly in contexts where I feel I'm supposed to comply and adhere to stereotypical and traditional views of masculinity. 

​

Through these images, I deconstruct the persona and in the process reveal the obvious; that vulnerability is quite possibly the most attractive quality of a human being.
